Gabriel Gómez is an MA candidate in political science at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of political science at the Free University of Berlin. His research focuses on Latin America, populism, democratic backsliding, and electoral behavior. His MA thesis examines the current electoral shift of Hispanics in favour of Republican candidates in the U.S. and its political repercussions.
