We are looking for three student employees to support us at the Interact Center!

We are offering: 3 positions for student assistants (m/f/d), 41 monthly hours, limited to 2 years.

Responsibilities:

• Support in the conception and content-related preliminary research for events of the junior research groups- Support of the junior research groups in research and teaching.
• Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
• Literature research for research projects and summary of results in English
• Support in the preparation of project publications
• Support in communication with the scientific network

Desired:

• Studies in a social science program (e.g., political science, sociology, peace and conflict studies), in law, or in related fields of study
• specific professional interest in working in one of the three junior research groups (applicants are asked to indicate one or more preferences in their cover letter)
• very good knowledge of German and English (C1/C2), (in addition, knowledge of Arabic, French or Spanish would be an advantage)
• experienced handling of office applications, especially MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work in a team and to communicate
• Ability to work accurately and independently  Willingness to familiarize oneself with layout programs, the content management system, the e-learning system, and literature processing programs
• Prior knowledge of the qualitative analysis software MAXQDA or the statistical software R/RStudio, or willingness to become familiar with them
• Prior knowledge of one or more of the following thematic research areas:

• Social movement and protest research / revolutionary research
• Peace, conflict and violence research
• International relations
• International law and human rights
